How do you select your
dog walkers?
Every member of the Adventure Tails team is carefully selected and must pass a police background check before working with clients.
Our walkers are also fully bonded and insured, and are chosen for their reliability, professionalism, and genuine love of animals. We look for people who treat every pet with patience, kindness, and the same level of care they would give their own.
Will my dog have the same walker each visit?
Whenever possible, we assign the same walker to your dog so they can build trust and familiarity.
While we can’t guarantee one single walker (due to vacations or illness), we keep your dog with a small, familiar team.
How do you access and
secure my home?
We use lockboxes, keyless entry systems, or a client-provided hide-a-key or magnetic key box.
A backup key must always remain at your property in case of battery failure or lock malfunction.
Access instructions are handled with the utmost confidentiality, and we treat every home with the same respect and care we would expect for our own.
Do you offer recurring and flexible scheduling options?
Yes. You may book recurring weekly services or flexible visits as needed.Recurring walks are recommended to guarantee your dog’s spot and maintain routine.
Can I request a specific
time for a walk?
We operate within arrival windows:
• 9–11am
• 11am–2pm
• 2–5pm
This allows us to maintain reliable routes and consistent service.
Puppies (8–16 weeks) receive a one-hour window.
How do I book and pay
for a walk?
Booking is handled through our secure online client portal, where you can request services, manage your schedule, and pay electronically.
We prefer to meet you and your pet beforehand, but if timing doesn’t allow, we’ll schedule a phone call to review routines, safety details, and expectations before your first visit.
What is your cancellation
policy?
We require 24 hours’ notice for walk cancellations or schedule changes.
Less than 24 hours’ notice results in the full service charge, as that time has been reserved specifically for your pet.
Walks can be easily cancelled or modified through your secure client portal, allowing you to manage your schedule and request changes when needed.
How do you handle
extreme weather conditions?
Safety comes first. When temperatures exceed 35°C (humidex) or drop below -25°C (windchill), outdoor walk time is shortened and the remainder of the visit is spent indoors with enrichment and attention.If road conditions are unsafe, we may cancel services. In those rare cases, 50% of the fee applies to compensate for reserved time in our schedule.
